Welcome!

On behalf of the Eta Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at Quinnipiac University, I would like to welcome you to our website!  I hope that by viewing our website, you will be able to get a glimpse of what being a Theta is all about. Since the installation of our chapter in 2006, we have strived to create an atmosphere that will inspire all members to reach their personal goals and grow socially, intellectually and morally. Through sisterhood events, community service and formals, the bonds that we have formed will last well beyond our collegiate years.

As a chapter, we have set our sights on becoming the best possible representation of Kappa Alpha Theta. In 2008 our chapter received one of the Fraternity’s most prestigious honors, the Golden Kite Award. Eta Xi was one of only 23 chapters, out of 127, to receive this award.

We support the Fraternity’s national philanthropy, CASA, by fundraising through various events, such as our annual kickball tournament, Kicks for CASA. We also work closely with Hamden Youth Services, a non-profit organization that strives to better the community in which Quinnipiac is located.

I could not be more proud to represent the fabulous women of Eta Xi.  Our organization is composed of unique individuals all with different career goals and interests.  Yet, at the end of the day, we all share a common belief in the Fraternity’s ideals and our faith in each other.

It is these ideals that immediately drew me towards Theta.  When I joined the Eta Xi chapter a mere two years ago, I thought it would be a great opportunity to make new friends and become involved in the Quinnipiac community.  Now it is clear that Theta has become more than just an organization to me; it has become a home away from home and a constant support system.  These girls are now my sisters and my family, and with their faith in me I know that I can overcome any obstacle and reach any goal.  Kappa Alpha Theta has changed my life and I could not be more grateful.
