Welcome from the President

I would personally like to welcome you to the website of Quinnipiac University’s Eta Xi chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta! I hope that this website provides all information and resources you are seeking to get to know our chapter a bit better. As one of Kappa Alpha Theta’s newer chapters, we have already strived forward for the most rewarding experience for all of our members. Keeping the utmost regard for personal excellence, sisterhood, scholarship and service provides several opportunities toward personal growth and leadership.
Through the use of sisterhood events, socials, semi formals and formals, our sisters are constantly spending time with one another. The bonds and friendships formed through Kappa Alpha Theta last long beyond our collegiate experience and truly helps each member to understand what it means to be part of “Theta for a Lifetime.”
In addition, our philanthropy supports Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), in an effort to help less privileged children within the court system. Kicks for CASA, our annual fundraising event, is a kickball competition that provides an opportunity for Eta Xi to come together with members of the Quinnipiac community. It’s a rewarding and fun experience that supports an important cause.
Our support for one another can also be seen through our academic achievements as a chapter. In 2007, our helpful nature academically helped us to reach the highest GPA on campus and we consistently maintain a GPA above the all sorority average. In addition, many of our members are involved in several different clubs and organizations on campus, including, the Student Government Association, Orientation Leaders, Cheerleading, Student Programming Board, and many more.
With the well-rounded members of the Eta Xi chapter, we also received the “Golden Kite Award,” an honor that is among the Fraternity’s highest awards. This award was only given to 23 of 127 potential chapters, which could not have been possible without the support, dedication and efforts of our entire chapter. With the continuous strives toward improvement, possibilities for our chapter are endless.
I am proud to not only represent, but to be a member of such an amazing chapter that has provided experiences and memories that I will never forget. The sisterly bonds and friendships I have will last forever with many wonderful women I may have never had the experience of getting to know without Theta. I truly hope you enjoy what the website has to offer, and please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.

Theta Love & Mine,

Kristin Maher
